This body of work is an investigation into anachronistic aspects of photography. Consisting of a series of portraits conducted in present-day, but with a modernist ethos, these images mimic early twentieth century black and white photography. They present an aging grain elevator complex near the port of Halifax; a concrete monument to a past industrial age.

Photographed with 35mm black and white film, Grain is a commentary on both the steady extinction of analogue photography and also the degrading structure of the grain elevator.
